Episode 79: Regrets and Resolutions
Red Dead Redemption 2 has descended upon Jake, while Trav is almost halfway through with Spider-Man. Of course, more beats and additions are covered as well as, and listener questions and resolutions round out the discush.
Episode 78: Creepy Pasta
To get in the spooky spirit, Jake and Trav decide to read some video game-centric creepy stories from the Internet. Some are pretty funny, and Travis reads some of them. Jake starts an unexpected RPG and Trav just keeps play little Gameboy games. I guess they count though. Happy Halloween!
Episode 77: Love, Kill, Marry: Villain Edition
Do you want to play a game? Like a really juvenile game about video game antagonists? Well, Jake and Trav do, since they're weird. They also mention some of the games that they have beaten, added to their backlogs and more. Listen along and get in the Halloween spirit.
Episode 76: Telltale and other Fond Farewells
Jake and Trav are back from Videogeddon 26 and literally fall face-first into the studio to record the latest episode. With the closure of TellTale games, they decide to reminisce about some of their favorite, now-defunct studios. Of all the normal beats, pickups, and terrible jokes are present, but with a road-weary and hungover sheen.
Episode 75: Yeargasm 3: Through-Thinking Men
Well, Jake and Trav have been at this for three full years now, so that's a thing that gets discussed a little in this episode. They also answer some listener questions, as well as discuss the games that they have bought, sold, traded, hawked, fenced, bartered, stolen, and hustled.
Episode 74: Beat and Switch
This time around Jake and Trav talk about their love of the Nintendo Switch. From the games that they want both released and yet to come, to the convenience and joy this little fun machine give them. Pickups, beats, and on the radar cover a wide array of games as there are plenty in each category this time! Also, Nintendo Switch!
Episode 73: A Pile of Beats and Sandwich Meats
Jake and Trav are back together for this episode, and boy do they have a lot to catch up on. There's a ton of new games added to the backlog, even more beats, and the pair relates some fun stories about their pickups and field some questions from Twitter.
Episode 72: Live from Chicago
Recorded before a live studious audience, this episode sees Travis and guest hosts James (RetroPixel) and MustyHobbit (Second Breakfast) join on the show in Jake's (aww) absence. The usual segments are in play and cities in games is the topic of discush.
Episode 71: Well, That Was Weird
In the Seventy-First episode, Jake and Trav discuss the upcoming Chicago event with the Cartridge Club, their latest pickups, and what they have been playing since the last show. The discush is a new idea, and the serendipitous turn of events is staggering. Seriously, like one of the weirdest things ever.
Episode 70: Frankie Goes to Polywood
This is the 70th time that Jake and Trav sat down behind the mics to records an episode of Polykill, but the first with Frankie aka VyprStryke. They discuss their pickups, beats, and some of the biggest games they have yet to conquer. Or something like that....I didn't really pay attention.
Episode 69: Live E3 69ing
You read that right. This is Jake and Trav at their most adolescent. The 69th episode was recorded live before about 17 Twitch viewers (not including themselves) and consisted of a ton of silly jokes and E3 reactions. Some big games are knocked off of the backlog, and Jake names his first pickups of the year.
Episode 68: E3 Wish Lists and Robot Dog Overlords
In the lead up to E3, Jake and Trav keep spouting off what they think is going to happen. They really have no idea this year (as if they ever did). Trav completes a few games, and Jake is on the verge of buying games again. Plus, they get a few listener questions too.
Episode 67: Leaky Horchacho
What is this made up word in the title? Is it made up? Trav thinks that it means something that it probably doesn't. I'm sorry if it's offensive. Anyway, Trav knocked out a slew (slough?) of games and Jake goes off on some E3 nonsense.
Episode 66: The Solo Experience
Everyone is talking about the single-player game and if it will survive against the battle royale, esports and the like. Jake and Trav think it has to as well. In the discussion they talk about what attracts them to the single player games that they love, some of their favorite stories from games, and more. Games were beaten and added to the backlog as usual, so that's neat too.
Episode 65: In the Polydawg House
Jake and Trav are back with a brand new pair of guests! This time Eric and Melissa (AKA the QDawgs) are along for the Polykill adventure. They discuss new game pickups, how they got started on Youtube and more!
Episode 64: Spring Cleaning 64
Well Jake's back, not like anyone really missed him. Anyway, this episode sees Trav and Jake eliminating a few games from their backlog: by completing them AND by bracket-style elimination. And there's a pretty wild Target story in there too.
Episode 63: That Geddon Goodness
Well this is a first. Jake has to sit out this latest episode of the cast, and in his stead the usurper Brian (@hokiebriz). Trav and Briz talk about their backlogs and stuff; and they discuss one of their most sacred traditions, Video Geddon. Listen if you want to know what the heck that is.
Off-Killter 16: Childhood Mischief
So, thankfully, Brian is back again. That guy was a BRAT, I tell ya. Jake was basically a saint, and Trav falls somewhere between Brian and Jake. He's clumsy like that. Anyway, there are all sorts of crazy stuff in this one, so hang on to your hats.
Episode 62: Virtual [Reality] Insanity
So, Brian finally makes his way onto the show and gabs along with Jake and Trav about the games they have all played. The discussion is led by the guest and it's all about Virtual Reality! The fact that this episode is coinciding with Ready Player One's theatrical release is completely coincidental. We're not that smart...
Episode 61: The Cost of Free Games
Alright, so Jake and Trav are back with their next episode of this show, and they update you on the progress in their game-beating accomplishments. Jake waxes scholarly and drops figures and stats on the PS+ and Games With Gold titles and he and Trav discuss the ups and downs of "free" games. It's alright I guess.
